With a text written by the composer, Han Lash’s Canticum Psalmi Falsum, is a spirited work that is both ridiculous and musically powerful. Han Lash is a modern master of choral counterpoint and Lash’s florid vocal lines are often punctuated with bell-like harp and piano chords which playfully dance around various driving drum beats intermixed with other colorful percussion sounds.
